If we don’t have an outside demonstrator, club meetings usually involve someone demonstrating a technique, and then an opportunity for other members to try their hand or to practise and ask for help with other problems.
Members bring their latest turnings and there may be a challenge or competition with a critique and a small prize.
Members of the Association support local events such as the Hatfield Forest WoodFest with displays and demonstrations of woodturning.
For several years we have provided hands-on woodturning experience to Scouts at the Gilwell 24 event and other Jamborees.

Following on from our support to the Scouts, East Herts Woodturners have recently started a Youth branch aimed at giving more young people an opportunity to try woodturning. More details here.
